- Rice-1 cup
- Beetroot-2 grated
- Onion-1 chopped
- Green chilli-2 chopped
- Curry leaves-few
- Mustard seeds-1/2 tbsp
- Chana daal-1 tbsp
- Urad daal-1 tbsp
- Salt to taste
The preparation method:
- Boil the rice and keep it aside
- Heat oil in a pan and splutter mustard seeds,urad daal,chana daal.
- Add onion,green chilli ,curry leaves and salt.Saute till onions turn golden brown.
- Add grated beetroot to it.Sprinkle some water and allow to cook.
- Once the beetroot is cooked,add the rice in to it.Mix well.
- Healthy and Tasty beetroot rice is ready to be served hot with pickle or salad.
