Green Gram Pesarattu

Pesarattu is similar to dosa but is made with batter of green gram (moong dal), instead of urad dal. Pesarattu is eaten both in breakfast and as snack that popular in Andhra Pradesh.

What you need for Green gram Pesarattu:
  • Green gram -2 cups
  • Rice- 1/2cup
  • Green chilli -2
  • Ginger-1 piece
  • Cumin-1 tbsp
  • Salt to taste
The Preparation Method:
  • Soak  green gram and rice in water for minimum 2 hours .
  • Then blend all the ingredients together into a smooth batter.
  • Take a tawa and make like dosa the usual way.
  • Simple and delicious dosa is ready to be served with coconut chutney or any other chutney.

    Can we use any type of rice for making this pesarattu?

  2. Hi We used raw rice.You can use idli rice or boiled rice
