Carrot Halwa or Gaajar ka halwa is a definite favourite to those who like Indian sweets. This ladoo version with Carrot is an instant dessert with minimum required ingredients. Easy to prepare, yummy to taste.:-)
What you need to prepare Carrot Ladoo :
Carrots - 2 Cups Chopped Finely
Coconut Dessicated - 1 1⁄2 Cups
Condensed Milk - 1 Cup
Rose Water or Saffron - few Drops / strands
Cardamom Powder - 2 Pinches
Ghee - 3 Tbsp
The Preparation Method :
What you need to prepare Carrot Ladoo :
Carrots - 2 Cups Chopped Finely
Coconut Dessicated - 1 1⁄2 Cups
Condensed Milk - 1 Cup
Rose Water or Saffron - few Drops / strands
Cardamom Powder - 2 Pinches
Ghee - 3 Tbsp
The Preparation Method :
- chop or grate the carrots very finely
- Saute the carrots on medium flame for about 10 minutes or until cooked and tender
- Add half of the condensed milk and the dessicated coconut. mix well until all the condensed milk is absorbed.
- Add rose water / Saffron strands, cardamom powder and rest of condensed milk and saute till the condensed milk is absorbed and the mixture turns sticky enough to roll small balls out of it.
- Switch off the flame. Cool the mixture slightly. roll into small balls..
- Place a raisin or cashew nut on top. You can also sprinkle some coconut on top.
- Yummy Carrot Ladoo is ready to be enjoyed :-)
