- Cabbage-1 cup - chopped well
- Onion-1- chopped well
- Green chilly-3 - slit into halves
- Chana dal-2tbsp
- Mustard seeds-1tbsp
- Turmeric powder-a pinch
- Curry leaves-a few
- Salt-to taste
The preparation method:
- Heat some oil in a pan and splutter some mustard seeds.Roast the chana dal till they turn brown.
- Sauté the chopped onions,green chilli ,and curry leaves for a while till the onions turn golden brown.
- Add the chopped cabbage, a pinch of turmeric and salt to taste.
- Sprinkle a little water and cook in a medium flame for 10 minutes till the cabbage is cooked well.
- Hot and spicy cabbage is ready to served hot with rice.
