What You need for Red Gram Upperi:
- Red Gram-2 cup soaked in water for 2 hours
- Onion-1 chopped fine
- Green chilli-2 slit
- Curry leaves-few
- Salt to taste
The preparation method:
- Pressure cook the soaked red gram with salt.
- Heat oil in a pan.Add the chopped onions,green chilli and curry leaves. Sauté till the onions turn translucent.
- Add the pressure cooked red gram in to it .Mix well
- That's it ! Red gram poriyal is ready to served hot as a side-dish with rice.
