Mambazha Pulissery

Mambazha Pulissery is a popular kerala curry made with ripe mangoes. It's sweet and sour in taste.Use a extra ripe mango to make this pulissery.


What you need for mambazha pulissery:
  • Ripe mango-2
  • Curd-1 cup
  • Coconut-1/2 shell
  • Red chilli powder-1tbsp
  • Green chilli-2
  • Cumin-1/2 tbsp
  • Turmeric powder-1/2tbsp
  • Mustard seed-1/2tbsp
  • Fenu greek seeds-1/2 tbsp
  • Curry leaves-few
  • Red chilli-1
  • Salt to taste
The preparation method:
  • Peel the mangoes and cut in to pieces.Boil the mangoes with salt ,turmeric powder and chilli powder.
  • Grind the coconut with green chilli and cumin.
  • Add the grinded mixture in to the curry.Allow them to boil.
  • Finally add curd and switch off the flame.
  • Heat oil in apan add mustard seeds,fenugreek seeds,red chilli and curry leaves.
  • Pour this mixture in to the curry.
  • Yummy mambazha pulissery is ready to be served with rice.
