Chicken Vepudu is a hot and spicy chicken stir fry dish from Andhra Pradesh.
It is easy to prepare and suit you if you have a taste for spicy food.

What you need for Chicken Vepudu :
- 500g chicken
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 1 tomato, finely chopped
- Ginger-Garlic paste
- 1 tbsp peppercorns
- 1 tbsp chilli powder or to taste
- 1 tbsp coriander powder
- 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
- 1 tsp mustard seeds
- salt to taste
- few curry leaves
- few coriander leaves
- Cut the chicken into small pieces, wash and drain the water.
- Take a vessel and add the washed chicken pieces, chilli powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, ginger-garlic paste,pepper corn, salt and very little amount of water.
- Cook on medium flame for 20 mins or till the chicken become tender.
- Now heat a pan with oil and add mustard seeds.
- When they start to pop add curry leaves and chopped onions.
- Saute till they turn into golden yellow colour.
- Add chopped tomatoes and ginger garlic paste.
- Saute till the raw smell disappears.
- Now add the cooked chicken pieces along with the water.
- Mix well and cook on medium low flame for further 10-15 mins.
- Finally adjust salt and garnish with coriander leaves.
- Now your easy and tasty chicken vepudu is ready to serve.
- Serve hot with plain white rice or roti.
