Onion pakoda is one of the popular street side snacks in Tamil Nadu and a wonderful tea-time snack.

- Gram flour/besan - 1 cup
- Rice flour - 1/4 cup
- Baking soda - 1 pinch
- Onion- 2 chopped into lengthwise
- Green chillies- 2 chopped lengthwise
- Ginger- a small piece cut lengthwise
- cumin seeds- 1/4 tbsp
- saunf- 1/4 tbsp
- Coriander leaves -few chopped
- Curry leaves- a few chopped
- Cashew nut -5 no
- Salt to taste
- Mix onion,green chilli ,ginger,curry leaves,coriander leaves ,cashew nut and salt.
- Add Besan ,rice flour and baking soda by adding little oil.Add saunf and cumin in to it.
- Mix both the mixture together.sprinkle some water. Ensure the mix is not too wet.
- Heat oil in a pan and when it turns golden brown take it out. Place it on a tissue paper to ensure the excess oil is drained out.
- Tasty Onion Pakoda is ready to be served with tea.
