Sweet Potato/Madhura Kizhangu bajji

A different tea-time snack... 

What you need for Sweet potato / Madhura kizhangu Bajji:
  • Sweet Potato : 1 sliced in round shape
  • Besan / Gram Flour : 1 cup
  • Rice Flour : 1/4 cup
  • Red Chilli Powder : 1 tbsp
  • Ajwain Powder : a pinch
  • Bakng soda - a pinch
  • Hing - a pinch
  • Salt to taste
The prepration method:
  • Mix the gram flour, rice flour,hing salt, ajwain powder, red chilli powder and baking soda in a bowl. 
  • Add enough water to make a batter of medium consistency and set aside. 
  • Heat oil for deep frying. Dip the each sweet potato slice in the gram flour batter and deep fry them till golden brown color on both sides evenly.
  •  Remove from the oil and serve hot with tomato ketchup.
