What you need for Sweet potato / Madhura kizhangu Bajji:
What you need for Sweet potato / Madhura kizhangu Bajji:
- Sweet Potato : 1 sliced in round shape
- Besan / Gram Flour : 1 cup
- Rice Flour : 1/4 cup
- Red Chilli Powder : 1 tbsp
- Ajwain Powder : a pinch
- Bakng soda - a pinch
- Hing - a pinch
- Salt to taste
The prepration method:
- Mix the gram flour, rice flour,hing salt, ajwain powder, red chilli powder and baking soda in a bowl.
- Add enough water to make a batter of medium consistency and set aside.
- Heat oil for deep frying. Dip the each sweet potato slice in the gram flour batter and deep fry them till golden brown color on both sides evenly.
- Remove from the oil and serve hot with tomato ketchup.
