Besan Ladoo

Besan ladoos are sweet dessert made from gently roasted gram flour. Ladoos are usually rich in  calories but are too tempting to be avoided :-)

What you need to make Besan ladoo:
  • Besan / gram flour  - 1 cup
  • Ghee - 1/4 cup
  • Sugar - 1/4 cup (powdered)
  • Pistachio - 5
  • Cardamom - 4 (powdered)
The Preparation method:
  • Heat ghee in a pan . Add besan /gram flour and gently roast in low flame.Add the sugar.
  • Roast till the besan turns to light brown color. Add cardamom powder.Mix well.
  • When the color has changed you will also be start to smell the sweetness of roasted basen.
  • Switch off the flame.Allow it to cool.
  • To make the ladoos, take about 2 tablespoons of warm basen mixture into your palm. Gently press the mixture between your palms to form a smooth, round ball.
  • Decorate with pistachios.
  • Tasty Besan ladoo is ready to be enjoyed.
  • You can store the ladoos in an air tight container.
