Soan Burfi

Soan Burfi is a simple dessert which can be made readily with available ingredients in any house. This dish can be prepared without putting more effort in stirring.

What you need to make Soan Burfi:
  • All purpose flour/Maida  - 1 cup
  • Gram flour/besan - 1 cup
  • Ghee - 1/4 cup
  • Sugar - 2 cup
  • Milk - 1 cup
  • Cardamom powder - 2 tbsp
    The Preparation Method:
    • Take a plate and grease it with ghee and keep it aside
    • Heat ghee in a heavy bottomed pan, and add the flours and fry it till it turns into brown color. then add milk and sugar in to it and stir continuously to avoid any lumps.
    • Keep stirring until it comes to thick consistency.  Add the cardamom powder
    • When the mixture starts to tighten, then pour the soan burfi mixture into the greasy plate and spread it evenly
    • Allow the mixture to cool off in plate and cut it into desired shape pieces.
    • The yummy Soan Burfi is ready to be served on any special occasions.
