Rava Payasam

A very simple payasam to make and very delicious one to relish.

What you need to make Rava Payasam :
  • Rava - 1 cup
  • Sugar - 1 cup
  • Ghee - 1 tbsp
  • Milk - 1/2 ltr
  • Cardamom - 2 no powdered
  • Cashew nuts - 5 no
  • Raisins - 10 no
The preparation method:
  • Heat Ghee in a pan. Roast cashew nuts and raisins in low flame.keep it aside.
  • Add Rava/Semolina to the same pan and roast it till it become off white. Pour water and milk and boil it. Stir it frequently till the rava/semolina cooks. Add sugar and cardamom powder and stir. Garnish with roasted cashew nuts and raisins.
  • Rava Payasam / Sweet Semolina porridge can be served hot or chilled.
