Mushroom Fry

Mushrooms are valuable health food - low in calories, high in vitamins & minerals. They are fat free, cholesterol free and low in sodium. Mushroom Fry is a simple spicy stir fry that can be had with rice or roti.

What you need for Mushroom fry:
  • Mushroom - 1 cup chopped
  • Onion -1 chopped
  • Tomato - 1 chopped
  • Green chilli - 2 slit
  • Ginger garlic paste -1 tbsp
  • Garlic -4 pods
  • Butter -1 tbsp
  • Curry leaves -few
  • Coriander powder-1 tbsp
  • Pepper crushed -1 tbsp
  • Chilli powder - 1 tbsp
  • Cumin powder -1/2 tbsp
  • Turmeric powder - 1/4 tbsp
  • Whole garam masala  - 1 piece each(cloves,cinnamon,bay leaves,cardamom)
  • Cumin seeds -1/2tbsp
  • Cilantro - few chopped
  • Salt to taste
The preparation method:
  • Heat oil in a pan. Add the whole garam masala and cumin.Saute for a minute in low flame.
  • Add chopped onion,green chilli,curry leaves,ginger garlic paste and  salt.
  • Saute till the onions turn brown.Add chopped tomatoes and turmeric powder.cook till the tomato is well done.
  • Now add the chopped mushrooms and mix well. Cook for few minutes and switch off the flame.
  • Heat butter in a wide pan .Add crushed garlic,cumin seeds,crushed pepper , coriander leaves, cumin powder,coriander powder and chilli powder.
  • Saute for few add the cooked  mushroom in to it.
  • Cook till the water evaporates.
  • Tasty mushroom fry is ready to be served with rice/roti.
