Onion Bhajji

Onion bhajji is a spicy Indian snack which can be had as a eat alone snack or as starter to a main course. This is an ideal for a wet / cold day or as party starter snack.


What you need for Onion bhajji:
  • Onion-1 chopped into rings
  • Rice flour-2 tbsp
  • Besan / kadala maavu-4 tbsp
  • Turmeric powder- a pinch
  • Chilli powder-1/2 tbsp (according to spice level)
  • Salt to taste
The preparation method:
  • Mix the besan/ kadala maavu,chilli powder,rice powder and turmeric powder with enough water to make a tight consistency.
  • Dip the onion rings into the batter and drop into fry pan filled with oil. 
  • Deep fry the onion rings till the outer covering turn slightly golden colour.
  • Simple,easy and tasty onion bhajji is ready to served with hot tea.
