- Banana stem-1 piece
- Rice-3 tbsp
- Pepper corn-1 tbsp
- Cumin seeds-1/2 tbsp
- Red chilli-2
- Curry leaves-few
- Mustard seed-1 tbsp
- Turmeric powder-a pinch
- Salt to taste
The preparation method:
- Take a pan and dry roast rice,pepper ,cumin,red chilli and curry leaves.Grind it and keep aside.
- Heat some oil in a pan.Splutter mustard seeds,red chilli and curry leaves.
- Add the finely chopped banana stem to this.
- Add salt and turmeric powder.Sprinkle some water and allow it to boil.
- When it is done add the grinded powder(from step 1) to this. Mix well.
- Yummy and healthy Banana Stem Poriyal is ready to be served with rice.
