Tomato Dosa

Another instant dosa recipe - the dosa batter need not be fermented as tomato is there for tanginess. You can also prepare this dosa instantly, with tomato puree added to the already prepared dosa batter.  Tomato Dosa is popular for it color, exotic taste of tomato & crispness.


What you need for Tomato dosa :
  • Raw rice - 2 cups 
  • Tomato - 3 chopped
  • Grated coconut - 1/2 cup 
  • Red chilli - 4
  • salt to taste
The Preparation method:
  • Soak the raw rice in water for 2 hours. Drain and grind smoothly the rice , chopped tomatoes, dried red chilli, and grated coconut by adding little water to form a dosa-like batter.
  • Add salt and mix well .You can make instantly dosa with this batter.. 
  • Heat tawa , pour a laddle full of dosa batter, spread the batter with the bottom of the ladle evenly making circles to form a dosa and sprinkle some oil along the edges. Cook both sides  till done.
  • Serve hot with any chutney or sambar.
