Pumpkin / Mathanga Pachadi is a kerala sadhya dish made of cooked pumpkin and green chilies added in coconut paste and curd.

- Pumpkin - 1 cup chopped
- Coconut grated -1/2 shell
- Mustard seeds -1 tbsp
- Cumin seeds- 1/2 tbsp
- Green chilli -2
- Shallots -4
- Red chilli -2
- Curry leaves -few
- Curd- 1cup
- salt to taste
The preparation method:
- Boil the pumpkin with salt .
- Grind the coconut with mustard seeds,cumin,green chilli and shallots.
- When the pumpkin is well done , add the ground mixture in to it. Boil for few minutes.
- Finally add curd ,mix well and switch off the flame.
- Heat oil in a pan. Splutter mustard seeds,fry red chilli and curry leaves.
- Pour this in to the pachadi.
- Tasty pumpkin pachadi is ready to be served with rice.
