Chammanthi is a very popular Kerala chutney which is often had as a side-dish for rice.A quick and easy chutney to make.

What you need for Chammanthi:
  • Coconut-1/2 - chopped into small pieces
  • Red chilli-2 
  • Ginger-1 piece
  • Curry leaves-few
  • Tamarind-1 small piece
  • Salt to taste
The preparation method:
  • Grind the coconut pieces with red chilli,curry  leaves,tamarind, ginger and salt.
  • You can add water if you want other wise you can serve it dry.
  • That's it ! Quick and easy chammanthi is ready to served with hot rice.
Note : If you add curd and add seasoning's like mustard and curry leaves,you also have a curry!
