Chicken Fried Rice

Chicken Fried Rice is a ever-green fast food dish.When you get tired of the usual chicken curry , try out this tasty chicken dish.

What you need to make Chicken Fried Rice:
  • Basmati rice-2 cups - washed well and soaked in water for at least 30 minutes
  • Chicken -1/4 kg - cleaned and cut into very small pieces.
  • Egg-1 - beaten well 
  • Onion-1 chopped
  • Ginger-1 piece finely chopped
  • Garlic-2 pods finely chopped
  • Pepper powder-2 tbsp
  • Soya sauce-2 tbsp
  • Vinegar-1 tbsp
  • Corn flour-1 tbsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Cilantro-few
The preparation method:
  • Marinate the chicken pieces in salt,pepper,corn flour and little beaten egg for 15 minutes. Mix well and keep aside.Make sure the chicken pieces are very small pieces.
  • Cook the basmati rice along with little salt and a drop of oil to ensure the grains don't stick to each other.. Set aside to cool down.Make sure the rice is not over-cooked.
  • Heat some oil a non-stick pan or wok and fry the marinated chicken till it turns brown and is well cooked.Set this fried chicken aside.
  •  In the same pan/wok, fry the chopped ginger and garlic pieces.Ensure the ginger and garlic are finely chopped.Sauté the fine chopped onion till they turn slightly brown.
  • Pour rest of the beaten egg into the pan and scramble them along with pepper and salt.
  • Add the fried chicken pieces to the pan and stir well.
  • Add the cooked basmati rice and mix well.
  • Pour the soy sauce and vinegar to this and mix well.
  • If needed,you can also add little chilli sauce.We added Maggi Hot and Sweet chilli sauce.
  • Thats it ! Chicken fried rice is ready for your eating pleasure.
