Baby Corn Manchurian

Like Gobi/Cauliflower Manchurian ,Baby Corn Manchurian is a popular fast food snack and is a common starter in restaurants.


What you need for Baby Corn Manchurian:
  • Baby corn-10
  • Onion-1
  • Spring onion-2
  • Corn flour-2 tbsp
  • Plain flour/maida-2 tbsp
  • Rice powder-1 tbsp
  • Soya sauce-2 tbsp
  • Vinegar-1 tbsp
  • Chilli tomato sauce-2 tbsp
  • Green chilli-2
  • Cilantro few
  • Chilli powder-1/2 tbsp
  • Pepper powder-1/2 tbsp
  • Ginger garlic paste-1/2tbsp
  • Salt to taste
The preparation method:

  • Clean and cut the Baby corn into medium sized pieces. Keep aside.
  • Mix Corn flour, Rice flour, Maida, salt and chopped Green chillies with water just enough to make a thick batter.
  • Heat oil in a frying pan. Dip the cut Baby Corn one at a time into the batter and drop into heated oil and deep fry. Keep the fried Baby Corn aside.
  • For tempering , heat 2 tbsp of oil in a pan. Add chopped Onions, Ginger Garlic paste and chopped Spring Onions and fry till the Onions turn golden brown. Now add Green chillies and fry for a minute.
  • Add Vinegar, Soya sauce,1/2 cup of Chilli Tomato sauce and mix well. 
  • Mix the fried Baby Corn with the Masala mixture they blend well.
  • Garnish with chopped Coriander leaves.
  • Spicy and tasty Baby Corn Manchurian is now ready to be served with your favourite sauce.
