Moong dal curry

Moong Dal is rich in protein and makes a healthy dish.Moong Dal curry is a quick 15-min recipe that goes well with chapathis or rice.

What you need for moong dal curry:
  • Moong daal-2 cup
  • Small onion-5 whole peeled
  • Tomato-1 chopped fine
  • Green chilli-2 slit
  • Cumin-1/2 tbsp
  • Ginger-1 piece
  • Mustard seeds-1/2 tbsp
  • Curry leaves-few
  • Cilantro-few
  • Red chilli-2
  • Turmeric powder-a pinch
  • Hing -a pinch
The preparation method:
  • Pressure cook the moong daal with green chilli,tomato,ginger ,2 small onions,turmeric powder,hing and salt.
  • Heat oil in a pan.Splutter mustard seeds and crackle cumin seeds.Fry red chilli,curry leaves,and small onion for a minute.
  • Mix this with cooked dal .
  • Garnish with coriander leaves.
  • Tasty and healthy moong dal is ready to served with rice or roti.
