Carrot poriyal is a easy ,healthy and yummy recipe that goes great with any rice dish.

- Carrot-4 peeled and grated
- Coconut-2 tbsp grated
- Onion-1 chopped fine
- Green chilli-2 slit
- Curry leaves-few
- Chana daal-1 tbsp
- Mustard seeds-1/2 tbsp
- Red chilli-2
- Garlic-2
- Salt to taste
The preparation method:
- Heat oil in a pan and splutter mustard seeds.Add chana dal and sauté till they turn brown.
- Add onion,garlic ,green chilli,curry leaves,salt and red chilli.
- Saute till the onions turn transparent.
- Then add the grated carrot.and sprinkle little water.
- Cook till carrot gets cooked.
- Finally add the grated coconut.
- Yummy and healthy carrot poriyal/upperi is ready to served with rice.
