What do you do if you have Idlis leftovers from yesterday? Try this simple Idli Upma ( Even leftover Idlis tastes great ;-) )
What you need for Idli Upma:

- Idly- 4 scrambled
- Onion - 1 chopped fine
- Mustard seed- 1 tbsp
- Channa dhal- 1 tbsp
- Red chillies - 2 or 3 broken
- Curry leaves- 1 sprig
- Pepper powder - 1 tbsp
- Turmeric powder-1 tbsp
- Salt to taste
The preparation method:
- Heat oil in a pan, add mustard seed. Once it splutters , add channa dal,broken red chillies , curry leaves and saute few mins.
- Add chopped onion and saute till the onions turn transparent.
- Add the turmeric powder and pepper powder. Fry for a minute
- Add the scrambled idly and mix well. Fry till the Idlis turn slightly crisp.
- Yummy Idli Upma is ready to be served for breakfast or evening snack.
