Potato Broad Beans Dry

Potato Broad Beans is a simple and nutritious dish. Try with Indian bread for a change.


What you need for Potato Broad beans:
  • Broad Beans - 200 gms
  • Potatoes - 2 peeled and cubed
  • Turmeric powder - 1/2 tbsp
  • Red chilli powder - 1/4 tbsp
  • Onion-1 chopped
  • Green chilli-2 slit
  • Curry leaves-few
  • Mustard seeds-1/2 tbsp
  • Salt to taste
The  preparation method:


  • Chop broad beans with tips removed and stringed.
  • Take a deep bottomed vessel and heat oil.Add mustard seeds and when they crackle,add onion,green chilli and curry leaves
  • Add broad beans and potatoes. Add salt, red chilli powder, turmeric powder . Mix well and cover. Lower heat to medium.
  • Cook till potatoes are tender while stirring in between. Turn off the heat. Mix well. Serve hot with rotis or parathas.
