Methi Rajma Masala

Methi controls our body's sugar level and Rajma is full of proteins.Rajma Methi masala is a healthy food for people on diet.

What you need for Rajma Methi Masala:
  • Rajma (Red kidney beans) - 1 cup, soaked in plenty of water overnight and cooked
  • Onion - 1, large, chopped
  • Tomato - 2 chopped
  • Green chilli - 2slit
  • Ginger - a small piece chopped
  • Garlic - 2pods
  • Garam masala - 1 tbsp
  • Coriander powder-1 tbsp
  • Red chilli powder - 1/2 tbsp
  • Turmeric powder - 1/2 tbsp
  • Sugar - a little (optional)
  • Chopped methi(fenugreek) leaves - 1/2 cup or a small bunch
  • Cumin seeds - 3/4 tbsp
  • Coriander leaves -few
  • Salt to taste
The preparation method:
  • Heat oil in a pan. Add the cumin  and toast for a few seconds. Stir in the chopped green chillies, ginger, garlic and onion. Saute until onions start to brown.
  • Add the tomatoes and heat until mushy. Add turmeric powder, red chilli powder, salt, sugar, garam masala , coriander powder and stir well to mix.
  • Add chopped methi leaves and mix well
  • Add the cooked rajma along with the water in which it was cooked. Boil for a few minutes until the gravy thickens. 
  • Healthy and Tasty Rajma Methi Masala is ready to be served hot with roti/puri.
