What you need for Chicken curry in Coconut milk:
- Chicken -1/2 kg
- Onion-3
- Tomato-2
- Green chilli- 2 slit
- Turmeric powder-1/2 tbsp
- Coriander powder-2 tbsp
- Chilli powder-1 tbsp
- Pepper powder-1/2 tbsp
- Garam masala-powder-1/2 tbsp
- Ginger garlic paste-1 tbsp
- Coconut milk-1 cup
- Small onion-5
- Curry leaves-few
- Coriander leaves-few
- Salt to taste
- Marinate the chicken with turmeric powder,chilli powder and salt.Keep it for an hour.
- Heat oil in a pan and saute ginger-garlic paste,green chilli,chopped onions with salt.
- Once the onions turn transparent , add all the powders and mix well.
- Add the chicken pieces and reduce the flame.Cover the vessel with a lid. The chicken will start to ooze water.If needed,add some more water.
- Once the chicken is well cooked,add the coconut milk. Mix well and boil it for a minute.
- Fry the small onions and curry leaves in coconut oil till the onions turn brown. Add this to the curry.Garnish with coriander leaves.
- Tasty Chicken curry in Coconut milk is ready to be served with rice or chapatti.
