Badusha /Balushahi is a deliciously flaky and layered Indian Sweet traditionally made during Diwali.It has a layered texture and is coated with sugar syrup.Pretty easy to make and tastes great

- Maida/Plain flour - 1 cup
- Baking powder - 1 tbsp
- Cooking soda - a pinch
- Sugar -1/2 cup
- Curd -3 tbsp
- Cardamom - 4
- Ghee -1 tbsp
- Lemon juice -1/2 tbsp
The Preparation method:
- Mix maida ,baking powder,cooking soda,ghee and curd together.Make a soft dough out of it.Don't add any water. Cover it and keep it aside for 20 minutes.
- Then make lemon size ball out of it.press with your thumb on the ball
- Heat oil and fry these balls on medium low heat until balls golden brown then remove /drain the oil
- prepare sugar syrup to consistency of string. Add cardamom powder and lemon juice to it. Keep aside.
- Now add the fried badusha in to the sugar syrup
- Yummy badusha is ready to be served.
