Apple Halwa

Apple halwa is a light and healthy dessert as no milk, cream or evaporated milk (khoya) is added in the halwa.

What you need for Apple Halwa :
  • Grated /Grinded apples - 4
  • Ghee - 2 tbsp
  • Sugar - 1/2 cup
  • Cashew nuts - few
  • Raisins - few
  • Cardamom powder - pinch
  • Vanilla essence - 2 drops
  • Saffron - 6 strands
The Preparation Method
  • Heat the ghee in a broad non-stick pan, add the apples and cook on a medium flame for 5 to 7 minutes, while stirring continuously.
  • Add the sugar ,cashew nuts ,raisins and cardamom powder. Mix well and cook on a medium flame for 7 to 8 minutes or till all the moisture evaporates, while stirring continuously. Keep aside to cool.
  • Add the vanilla essence and saffron strands. Mix well.
  • Tasty Apple Halwa is ready to be served.
