Badam Kheer

Badam Kheer is a rich delicacy made with milk and almonds which can be served cold in summer or hot during the winter. Its refreshing, nourishing and delicious as well.

What you need for Badam Kheer :
  • Badam -30 no ( or as required)
  • Sugar -1 cup
  • Milk-1 litre
  • Cardamom - 6 pods powdered or 1 tbsp powder
  • Saffron - few strands
  • Rose water -1 tbsp (Optional) 
The Preparation method:
  • Soak the badam in water for minimum 6 hours.Peel the badam skin.
  • Grind the peeled badam in to a thick paste by adding some milk in a blender.
  • Now boil the remaining milk in a thick bottomed pan.Add the grounded badam mixture into this.Cook till the raw smell goes.
  • Keep stirring.Once the milk boils well , add sugar and cardamom powder.
  • Cook for few more minutes.Finally add saffron and rose water. Switch off the gas .
  • Yummy and healthy Badam Kheer is ready to be served warm or cold.
