Curry Leaf Pepper Chicken

Curry Leaf Pepper Chicken is a very flavourful dish made with naturally aromatic earthy flavoured leaf commonly known as curry leaf and the heat or spiciness from the freshly ground pepper corns. This chicken preparation is very yummy, finger licking and that tastes great with rice, roti or chapatti. 

What you need for Curry Leaf Pepper Chicken:
  • Chicken Pieces - 1 kg
  • Onion - 2 chopped
  • Tomato -2 chopped
  • Curry Leaves- 3 Sprigs
  • Fennel Seeds- 1 tbsp
  • Coriander Powder -1 tbsp
  • Chilly Powder- 1 tbsp
  • Crushed Pepper  -2 tbsp
  • Coconut - 1/4 cup
  • Turmeric-1/4 tbsp
  • Ginger Garlic Paste- 1 tbsp
  • Coriander Chopped - few
  • Salt to taste
The Preparation method:
  • Heat oil in a pan. Add onions, salt and saute this for 2 minutes. Add ginger-garlic paste, turmeric, sauté some more. Add tomatoes, grated coconut, chilly powder, coriander powder. Mix this well. Put the lid on and cook it for 2 minutes. Let it cool down and put it into the blender and make into a paste.
  • In the same pan , heat some more oil. Add fennel seeds, curry leaves,chicken pieces, salt, sauté it for 2 minutes, then add crush pepper. Add the prepared paste of tomato, onion, coconut, mix it well and let it cook for 20 to 25 minutes.
  • Finally, add some more crushed pepper, chopped coriander. Put the lid on and let it cook for 5 minutes, then switch off the flame.
  • Serve this tasty dish with with rice, roti or chappati
