Kerala Style Vegetable Korma

Vegetable korma is a popular side-dish for roti/chappathi.We love the Kerala version of this dish.


What You Need For Vegetable Korma:
  • Potato-1 - cut into cubes
  • Carrot-1 - cut into small pieces
  • Green Peas-1 cup
  • Beans-12  - cut into small pieces
  • Corn-1/2 cup
  • Onion-1 - chopped fine
  • Coconut-1/2 - cut into small pieces
  • Ginger garlic paste-1 tbsp 
  • Fennel seeds-1 tbsp
  • Green chilli-4 - chopped fine
  • Whole garam masala-small quantity of clove,cardamom, cinnamon, bay leaf
  • Turmeric powder-a pinch
  • Salt-to taste
The preparation method:
  • Heat some oil in a pan and add the whole garam masala(clove,cardamom, cinnamon and bay leaf) and fry for a while.
  • Add the chopped onions,ginger garlic paste and salt. Cook till the onions turn slightly golden brown.
  • Add all the cut vegetables into the pan along with turmeric powder. Boil it the vegetables till they are well cooked.
  • Meanwhile,grind the coconut pieces,fennel seeds,green chilli along with little water.
  • Add this grinded contents to the pan and stir well. Cook for 5 more minutes.
  • Garnish with coriander leaves and vegetable Korma is ready for your eating pleasure!
