- Kovakkai-1/2 kg chopped
- Small onion or onion-12 pieces chopped
- Green chilli-2
- Mustard seeds-1/2 tbsp
- Curry leaves- few
- Salt to taste
The preparation method:
- Heat some oil in a pan and splutter mustard seeds.
- Add chopped onion,green chilli and curry leaves.
- Saute for some time and then add kovakka/tindora and salt.
- Add littile water and cook till the kovakkas' are well done.
- Kovakka poriyal is ready to be served hot as a side dish for rice.
